Poem - The Beauty Of Nature

The sun’s beams yawning
Under its blanket of Earth
Finally, reluctantly
Waking up
Once out of bed
The sun smiles
Broadly over
Each and every person
That lies in bed while
Smiling
Dreaming
The sun spreads its beams
Around the little dreamers
Embraces them
And kisses their foreheads

The waves kissing
The waiting sand
The water flees
Only to come back
Daring to kiss
And retreating
The sand flirts
Urges, and coos
Smiles, and teases
The water is shy
Hesitant and timid
Yet all the same bold

The sun crawls back
Under the blanket
Closes its eyes
Sleep, sun, sleep
Let the moon take over
Take a nap
Rest
Get ready for the next day
Color the skies
Pink, orange, and red
Sleep, sun, sleep

The moon rises up
And watches over
The sleeping children
Wrapping them up
In its moonlight
Tucks in shivering children
Kisses their foreheads
And then flies away
The stars
Wink
And smile
At the ones awake

The beauty of nature repeats itself
Over and over again
